We were on our way somewhere in the car recently when Jeremy noticed this dead snake on the side of the road in our neighborhood. Of course, we had to take photos of it so we can identify it online later! We identified it as the Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake, and figure someone must have been there before us and cut off the rattle. Here is more about this snake if you wanted to know more.
I am just glad it wasn't in our yard. Watch out, Chris and Paula, it was closer to your house than ours!

Tis the season for them to make babies....be careful is all I can say. I knew it had to be a rattlesnake the moment I saw. It's my Floridian back woods upbringing.
